Austal Launches Second Armidale Class Patrol Boat

After the Commissioning in June of “HMAS Armidale”, Austal has recently launched the second of twelve Armidale Class Patrol Boats.

Commissioning and sea trials of this vessel will be occurring throughout September culminating in a Naming Ceremony to be held at Austal in October before the vessel departs for Darwin where she will enter service alongside “HMAS Armidale”.

An additional two Armidale Class Patrol Boats have been approved for purchase by the Australian Federal Government.
